I teach adults and children, from beginner to advanced, how to play the upright bass. During lessons I teach how to play by ear, improvise and read music. In addition to upright bass lessons I also offer beginning violin/fiddle instruction. Currently, I am teaching violin group lessons at the Waldorf School of Baltimore. Over the past ten years of being a music educator I have been a general music teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools, a String Teaching/Creativity Teaching Artist as a founding member of BRIDGES (an after school strings, band, and choral program in Vienna, VA) a university professor at SUNY Oswego, an instructor at the Rochester Academy of Music, and private lessons teacher
I have two degrees in music education from the Eastman School (M.M.) ’12 and from James Madison University (B.M.) ‘09.
Lessons can be weekly, or a flexible schedule can be arranged.
